Specialist treatment is available using the same muscle relaxant injections used to treat wrinkles. Treatment benefits often begin within days however full benefits may take 1-2 weeks. These fine needle underarm injections help around 95% of those affected by excessive underarm sweating. An anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to these injections to minimise discomfort.

Fees & Medicare

A Medicare rebate is available for anti-sweating injections for eligible people (those with excessive underarm sweating who have failed or been intolerant to treatment with Driclor® deodorant). Up to three treatments a year can be claimed when performed by a Medicare-approved specialist. Dr. John Sullivan is a Medicare-approved provider.
