What is it?
Dermal injection Bio Remodeller is an injected dermal proteoglycan or glycosaminoglycan (GAGs are a natural skin molecule that holds and regulates skin water) filler that claims to be different. Although only a few injection sites are utilized this product spreads through the adjacent skin areas.
What are the usual or expected outcomes / benefits?
The aim of Dermal Injection Bio Remodeller treatment includes harnessing the hydrating and collagen-stimulating properties of a key component of the skins collagen layer to rejuvenate the skin from within. This contains a mix of
glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) that not only bind and hold the water essential for skin function and resilience but also provide an environment for cell migration and tissue remodelling. The skin’s glycosaminoglycan gel matrix is involved in facilitating the movement of growth factors and other signals that pass between cells and are involved in healing, tissue repair and maintenance.
The aim of this dermal injection bio remodeller is to help restore skin firmness, elasticity, and to restore and maintain the skin’s appearance in a subtle, gradual and natural way. This is one of our many non-surgical approaches to target the skin changes that occur with ageing and photoaging.
How does it work?
Dermal Injection Bio Remodeller is designed to improve the skin’s quality and appearance by several mechanisms:
- A mix of small and larger size proteoglycans or glycosaminoglycan (GAG) molecules which are not cross-linked like many traditional dermal injection products that allow the product to spread and diffuse through the skin. GAGs are a key component of healthy skin and are more numerous in youth. GAGs have an exceptional ability to attract and retain water (a key component of healthy skin and tissues) providing hydration and volume to the skin. The skin’s water content reduces as we age.
- Bio-Remodeling involves stimulation and production of collagen and elastin, two important skin proteins key to skin firmness, elasticity and appearance.
What is involved and when do I see results?
- Two-treatment sessions are utilized for an induction treatment. These are spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. This allows a cumulative effect with results more pronounced in the weeks following the second session.
- Initial skin hydration occurs followed by an increase in skin elastin and collagen
- Gradual improvement is seen with this product.
- A ‘full-face’ approach is utilized when administered (though other areas can be treated including the neck or back of hands) rather than focusing on isolated wrinkles or lines
