Dr Alexander Coe is a consultant dermatologist and fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009, following an undergraduate Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry.
Before his specialist training, Dr. Coe was a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners, working in regional and rural Queensland for 10 years. He obtained a Masters of Medicine Degree in the area of Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland in 2019.
Dr. Coe completed his specialist dermatology training in several tertiary hospitals including St. Vincent’s Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Skin Hospital (Darlinghurst) and Canberra Hospital. He worked in several regional locations, including Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo and Bateman’s Bay.
Dr. Coe has an interest in education and teaching and is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland. He has presented at national and international clinical meetings.
Dr Coe is highly skilled in all aspects of dermatology, with special interests in:
- early detection of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer
- complex skin cancer surgery
- paediatric dermatology including eczema
- acne
- psoriasis
- cutaneous lymphoma
He and his wife have 3 children. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, golf and is a keen musician.
