Dr John Sullivan MB BS (Hons1) FACD is an experienced dermatologist working for over two decades in academic teaching institutions and private practice both in Australia and Canada.

His areas of specialty include general (acne, acne scarring, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema), skin cancer and melanoma, laser and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr Sullivan is actively involved in teaching and education along with research. He is a conjoint senior lecturer at the University of NSW Clinical School and has teaching hospital appointments at St George & Sutherland Hospitals. He is actively involved in the training dermatology registrars including a focus on cosmetic and laser medicine.

He holds appointments at Kareena Private & Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda where he operates.

Doctor Sullivan’s Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatologists are complemented by his commitment to ongoing specialist dermatology training including in cosmetic and laser dermatology. He is a board member of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatology. His professional memberships include the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, European Society for Laser Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology, the International Peeling Society and the Australasian Medical Dermatology Collaboration.

Dr Sullivan is also involved in national and international clinical research and medical education along with national and international advisory boards. He is a published peer reviewed author and presents papers regularly to medical specialists, overseas and in Australia. He is a member of the working party dermatology with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards.

He aims to provide the optimal treatment for people with skin problems or concerns with a personalized patient-oriented focus.
